balancing act

a shell
holds fast
the wind hewn
sandy plank
hovering
taut
a vast inch of sanity waits
for waves

  1. I'm not sure how to make sense of this poem, especially of the last two lines.

But, the emotional-psychological impact of the last two lines is strongly felt.

  2. Hi Chen-ou, I've revised my poem. Maybe you will like it better...

    Hope you're well,

  3. I didn't see the original but this vevision is very effective. Walking-the-plank, "shell" of a ship one can't return to as the wind picks-up...harrowing.
