centuries of women
have stirred
the matter unfolding
as they fold
slowly from the middle
up and over
under
through and around
the edges
scraping time
into bite-sized portions
then watching it rise
to the occasion
have stirred
the matter unfolding
as they fold
slowly from the middle
up and over
under
through and around
the edges
scraping time
into bite-sized portions
then watching it rise
to the occasion
Everything hangs-together in this poem from the title on. What I appreciate most is how you've not denigrated the domestic work of women in the past and used it as a metaphor for greater "unfolding".
ReplyDeleteVery "well done" indeed.
Thank you, dear friend.
