well-done

centuries of women
have stirred
the matter unfolding
as they fold
slowly from the middle
up and over
under
through and around
the edges
scraping time
into bite-sized portions
then watching it rise
to the occasion

  1. Everything hangs-together in this poem from the title on. What I appreciate most is how you've not denigrated the domestic work of women in the past and used it as a metaphor for greater "unfolding".
    Very "well done" indeed.
