the cat's meow

a question-marked exit
sultry, intended
whisking through the door
my foggy little cat
feet follow

  2. Great first line. Coquettish. The alliterated ending is purr-fect. (Sorry.) Literary allusion is difficult to make work in English short poems. This does with its humorous twist, I think.

  3. Thanks, Brian! I forgot that I wrote this one. I dedicate it to Milo, the coquettish cat in my house. :)

  4. Kay, Do you know there is a famous Japanese cat also named Milo, (The Adventures of Milo and Otis)?

    Lovely poem. I like it.

  5. Chen-ou,

Was that Milo Japanese?? That's so funny. Our Milo (actually, my son's cat) is named after the very Milo you mention. Kenni loved the movie Milo and Otis!

I'm so glad you like my poem. I'll have to put a picture of the rascal on my blog some day.
