Potter's Remnant

the shape suspended
motion on a shelf
crazed with age
stiff and set
still, reflecting beauty

  1. This moved me so deeply my eyes stung waiting here in the breakfast room for friends. That I am looking out on granite mountains also "shape suspended motion...set still, reflecting beauty", causes your poem to speak with special poignancy to me in the moment.

A beautiful metaphor to take into the future, Kay.

    From Rioja,

  2. Kay, effective use of alliteration.

    Nicely done.

  3. Brian, your comments moved me. How appropriate to see a mountain in this poem! Thank you for that shared vision of Rioja. I hope you are fully enjoying your trip.

Chen-ou, thank you for reading and commenting. I've missed you both!

    Always,
    Kay
