Ann Arbor, Michigan: The Sixth Garage
Bankrupture
snow piles
withdrawn from banks
deposited in streets
I dig deeper into this vault
of mine
white walls
glisten serene
a hermitaged buffer
my world, an enclave of coolness
sanctum
I like
my cold, hard cache
I hide till father's voice
warns against plowed shares, demanding
retreat
I run
the bank, I ply
snow with spades, walling up
my space and chipping away at
myself
