deaf to all
who hear
yet there is more
understanding
silent cues to life
a gift
I do not have
why did they beg
Jesus to finger out
the quiet streams
drying up
the peace
I do not have
understanding
who hear
yet there is more
understanding
silent cues to life
a gift
I do not have
why did they beg
Jesus to finger out
the quiet streams
drying up
the peace
I do not have
understanding
I see someone was burning the midnight oil to so finely craft this superb meditation on 'understanding'. And what beautiful language: "...to finger out/the quiet streams/drying up/the peace...".
ReplyDeleteYour poem reminds me of Schopenhauer's observing the great peace often found on the faces of the blind.
Kay, I like your "silent cues to life," and "the quiet streams."

Such friends that take the time to encourage this chatty woman. You are much appreciated. I just wrote a piece of prose that expounds my loquacious nature. If it is not accepted, I will someday post it here. :) It won't tell you anything you don't already know about me. Haha.
ReplyDeleteAlways,
Kay
