Threading the Needle

it's easy for camels
they fit--
tapestries of nativity
display their presence
in the eye of the king

laden with presents
they do not own
they enter

but the rich are too fat
for this picture
they needle haystacks
to reveal threads
they cannot wield

we are rich
until we unload
and ride our camels
