extract of snow

sleeping
snow white's fair face
placid, under onyx
hair, appled cheeks, strained with gauze, speak
innocently under
wisdom's pull, spell
broken

  1. Kay, did you recite and explain this poem to your children?

You've such brilliant poetic wisdom to transform "bloody" wisdom teeth extractions into a fairy-tale-like poem.

I once wrote a haiku about "snow" and "teeth."

    teeth whitening
    the sounds of snowflakes
    outside the window

  2. Thank you, Chen-ou. I wrote this for and read it to Lizzie. I love your poem. The sound of silence. I just thought about the sound icy snow makes on the windows, and teeth on a hard surface would make that sound, too!

  3. Nicely done, Kay. You have had your hands full when the beauties weren't sleeping, no doubt?
